Merola Tile is a leading national tile distributor that proudly imports high quality, on-trend and emotionally inspiring tiles from around the world to suit a diverse flooring market.

The NJ Division of Merola Tile employs approximately 130 people and distributes tile in the U.S. and Canada through The Home Depot, independently owned tile showrooms, and numerous e-commerce retailers under the Merola Tile, SomerTile, and Elite Tile brand names. Role and Responsibilities

  • Be able to take photo manipulation projects from start to finish
  • Take direction on project plans/goals
  • Be able to understand instructions, expectations, and purpose on the end results
  • Maintain continuity of shot requirements
  • Use editing platform to create photo-based content
  • Submit finished product to manager for review
  • Be available to support in studio needs/shoots
  • Document tracking spreadsheets for project progress and cross-team notifications
  • Work closely with lead on productivity requirements

  • Ability to mask accurately and color correct product images and complex environments
  • Photo editing and manipulation
  • Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Uploading to social media platforms

Physical Demands

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Bend, sit or stand for long periods of time.

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a photo editing and production role.
  • Strong ability in conducting photo research for both the print and digital platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of Photoshop and other photo editing tools, including organizing, color editing, retouching, and exporting files.
  • Excellent judgment and an expansive understanding of mobile-first experience and design.
  • Strong organizational, communication and collaborative abilities.
  • A creative vision and enthusiasm to spearhead and collaborate on new ideas.
  • A self-starter mindset – and can work independently as well as with a team.
  • Advanced knowledge in Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Bridge
  • Adobe Creative Cloud products is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office mainly Excel
  • Google sheets experience
  • Experience using 3D engines is a plus
  • Link to digital portfolio
